Evaluation and selection of papers

InDret is an electronic review focused on the analysis of Law and addressed to researchers, professionals of law and advanced students.

The authors interested in publishing their research works in InDret should send their paper either to the electronic address redaccion@indret.com or by postal mail to Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Área de Dret Civil, c/ Ramon Trias Fargas, 25-27, 08005 Barcelona. The paper should be original and follow the review style sheet (http://www.indret.com/libro_estilo_indret.pdf). InDret reserves the right to modify the paper in order to adapt it to the style sheet.

The papers submitted are subjected to an anonymous evaluation and selection procedure conducted by two specialists in the topic (peer review), both external to the Board of Editors and Editorial Staff. They will write a report in the same language as the original.

The reviewers’ reports will provide a justified decision regarding the admission, revision or rejection of the paper. If both reports are contradictory, the Board of Editors will consult a third expert reviewer, who will write a new decisive report.

The reviewers will take into account the following criteria to decide whether the paper must be accepted, rejected or revised:

  • relevance and interest of the topic
  • correctness of the content
  • reasoning and development of the analysis’ goal
  • use and quotation of legislation and jurisprudence
  • writing style

The reviewers’ reports will be submitted to the authors for them to incorporate the corrections and suggestions

The final decision about publishing the papers corresponds to the Publisher Committee, once it has analysed the reviewers’ reports.

InDret holds non-exclusive rights of distribution, public communication and reproduction of  the author's work for its publishing in InDret as well as for its inclusion in databases where InDret is indexed.
